Mrs Stevens
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a wonderful first half term at Mabe we have enjoyed. The children have wowed me so much with their application to their learning and the progess they are making. I am especially impressed with how well the children are presenting their learning and the pride that they are taking when completing tasks.
In this first half term we have been really focusing on ensuring that we are all living out our vision of ‘Be the best you can be’, and we have looked at how we move around the school calmly and how we show we are ready for our learning. In our assemblies, we have further explored our 5 values of: Courage, Commitment, Compassion, Community and Cooperation. We have explored these themes through books and through real life stories; the children have given really thoughtful responses and we are very proud of them all.
Thank you for your engagement with our parents evenings over this week; we had such a high turn out. As you know working together is so important to me, and I will be analysing the responses to the feedback you have given over the half term and look forward to sharing these with you so that we can continue to develop all areas of school-life.
Wishing you all a super half term break. Please remember that Monday 30th October is an Inset day for staff training and the school is closed to all pupils on that day. The first day back at school after the half term is Tuesday 31st October.
With my very best wishes

Our Year 6 children will then show you around our school while telling you about all the things which make Mabe a great place to be and learn. There will be ample opportunity for you to explore our Reception classroom and meet the team as part of this morning.
