Sign up for parent’s meetings in the reception lobby!
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week saw our very own rock bands get underway with the team from Rock, Steady – it was super to hear children playing the drums, bass, guitar, keyboard and performing the vocals. Once the bands are a bit more established, we will hope to share some of their music with you all. There is such great music provision in place at Mabe and it has been lovely getting around and seeing what the children are learning in their Music lessons. I have been very impressed by the standards of singing in our whole school aseemblies – from both the children and staff! We are now moving into songs with 2 and 3 parts to challenge ourselves!
It seems unbelievable that we are only now a couple of weeks away from the end of the first half term of this academic year! Thank you all for making me feel so welcomed into your very special community. We are looking forward to sharing with you how your child has settled into their new class when we run parents meetings in the week beginning 16th October. Due to just moving to the new app system, we are unable to offer online signup this time around and so we will be reverting back to a reliable paper and pen method for this round of meetings! There are sign up sheets in the front office for you to sign up to. Don’t worry if you don’t do drop off or pick up, just message the class teacher or Mrs McCarthy your availability on DoJo and they will sign you up at a time to suit you and let you know your confirmed slot. Hopefully, by the time our next parent meetings come around, we will be able to offer online sign up once more.
And, I know it is only October, but as we have to start thinking about Christmas so early in primary school I wanted to make sure you had all our plans so you can add these to your diaries! On this newsletter, we have added the dates of the Christmas performances, so that you have these nice and early. Also, our PTA will also be helping to organise a Christmas Market which will take place on the 19th November starting at 3:00pm.
As always, please do stop and have chat when you see me or any of the staff out and about at the beginning and end of the school day. Your views and opinions really help to shape our provision here, so we do want to hear what is going well and where we can continue to develop.
With my very best wishes,
Mrs Stevens
