Message from the Head
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope that you found this week’s parent information evenings useful, and that you were able to see the progress that your child has made so far this year. We have high expectations of all of our pupils and have worked hard on the presentation of our learning through this year – the children are taking real pride in their books and we are very proud of the learning outcomes they achieve. If you have any follow up questions, concerns or suggestions following your child’s parent’s evening, please do not hesitate to get into contact with us at school so that we can follow this up. In addition, we do operate an Open Door policy here at Mabe and you do not have to wait for parent’s evenings to discuss any concerns you may have – you are able to make an appointment with myself, the SenCo or your child’s class teacher at any point. Just drop us a message on DoJo and we will get back to you.
Our parent survey is still open and if you haven’t yet had the chance to give us your feedback, we would appreciate you taking the time to do this. We really do value your opinions and read every response which then feeds into our school improvement plans. Each class have shared the survey link on their Class DoJo page, but here is the link again should you need it: https://forms.office.com/e/4DpcM8ci52
The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete and really supports us to further shape our provision in school. Thank you to everyone who has already completed this and we look forward to the further responses.
A huge congratulations and well done to our children in year 6 – we are so proud of you and all your efforts this week with your SATs tests. The children stayed focused throughout the week and we know that they did their absolute best which is all that can be asked of any of us. On Thursday, after their last test, the children celebrated in the park with an ice-lolly, as well as being given their leaver’s hoody. Our Year 6 children are now a colourful class within our school as they were each able to choose the colour of their hoody and they are wearing them with pride (despite the warm weather we have enjoyed at the end of this week!).
Next week, our year 4 children are heading off on their residential and will be accompanied by myself, Mr Ford and Mrs Moody. Any questions or queries during this time, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher or one of our Assistant Headteachers – Mr Cruse or Mrs Pearce – who will be able to support you whilst I am enjoying camping! Let’s hope the good weather continues!
With my very best wishes,
Mrs Stevens
